Need your help Girls. What to get my friend as a birthday present? Easy 10 points?

My friend's turning 18 and graduating. I'm not 100% on what to get her. We're pretty close and I'm thinking a budget of ~40 bucks but I don't know if that's too much. She and I used to go places and we were 'together' I guess, but never actually dated. Our birthdays are back to back, but hers comes first so I have to be the one to set a precedent on gift giving. She plays softball and is going to Auburn University if that's any help. I'm thinking of maybe getting her a gift card to Books-a-million or taking her out to like Olive Garden (or a place like it) and covering the bill. Are any of these good ideas? Any other suggestions?
